Boxing champion David Haye is set to return to the I'm A Celebrity jungle more than a decade after his first appearance. ITV bosses have offered the former heavyweight fighter, 44, a spot on the upcoming All Stars spin-off series.
The show's producers are reportedly keen to see Haye face questioning about his personal relationships around the campfire. Sources suggest no topic will be off-limits during the traditional jungle conversations that have become a hallmark of the reality series.
Return to the jungle
Haye first entered the I'm A Celebrity camp in 2012 during the show's twelfth season. He finished in third place behind EastEnders star Charlie Brooks, who won the series, and Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts as runner-up.
Since his jungle debut, Haye has expanded his media presence with appearances on The Big Narstie Show and his own interview series, David Haye versus, where he trains with major celebrities. A source told The Sun: "David was delighted to get the call from ITV. As viewers know, no chats are off-limits around the campfire, so they can expect to see David grilled over his quirky relationships."
All Stars format
The All Stars spin-off launched in 2023 with past contestants returning for another round of trials. Myleene Klass was crowned winner of the first series, titled I'm a Celebrity... South Africa.
According to the Daily Mail, the upcoming season will again be filmed in South Africa rather than the traditional Australian location. Other familiar faces being lined up include football manager Harry Redknapp, 78, who won the main series in 2018, with the Daily Mail reporting he could earn up to £500,000 for his appearance.
Reality star Gemma Collins, 44, who famously quit the show after just three days in 2014, is also among the names linked to the upcoming season. The Daily Mail reports comedian Seann Walsh is reportedly seeking redemption following his Strictly Come Dancing scandal.
Current controversy
The regular I'm A Celebrity series will mark its 25th anniversary when filming begins in Australia this November. Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will return to oversee the trials and challenges.
The 2024 series was won by McFly singer Danny Jones, 39, though his victory has been overshadowed by controversy. Footage emerged in March of him kissing fellow contestant Maura Higgins while married to beauty queen Georgia Horsley, a former Miss England winner.
The couple have been together since 2009 and married since 2014, welcoming son Cooper in 2018. Danny issued a public apology via social media: "Hello everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately. I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny."
