Jako upadla kobieta zostaje zabrana do klasztoru pod Florencja, gdzie oczekuje sie od niej skruchy i przejscia na chrzescijanstwo. Przelozona Oslavia ratuje Floriane uprowadzajac ja do posiadlosci, gdzie jej brat Sandro pracuje jako najemny artysta u bogatego patrona, dalekiego kuzyna poteznej rodziny Medyceuszy. Sandro cierpi na brak inspiracji, ale dzieje sie tak tylko do czasu, gdy wrazliwa Floriana przybywa do Villa Castello.

This is a historical fiction about the creation of Primavera, one of the most iconic paintings in Western art, and the people who inspired it. This is the first part of the trilogy. The action takes place in the years 1477-78 and begins with the rape of a young Jewish weaver, Floriana, by a Dominican monk in the Tuscan countryside. As a fallen woman, she is taken to a convent near Florence, where she is expected to repent and convert to Christianity. Superior Oslavia saves Floriana by kidnapping her to the estate where her brother Sandro works as a hired artist for a wealthy patron, a distant cousin of the powerful Medici family. Sandro suffers from a lack of inspiration, but that is only until the sensitive Floriana arrives at Villa Castello.
Over the next year, a personal and political drama unfolds in the lives of the main characters. It’s a time of unrest in Florence, where the Pazzi family is plotting to take power from the Medici. The preacher Girolamo Savonarola appears on the scene, wanting to cleanse the city of sinful behavior and restore it to a more Christian values.
The plot is boring and slow, it could have been told in half the time.

A well-crafted story, full of adventure and danger, betrayal and forgiveness, and much more.
