TV presenter Rylan Clark (36) posted an emotional message of support for his friend Tulisa Contostavlos on Friday, praising her for sharing "the truth" in her new memoir. The X Factor alumni wrote on Instagram: "Never been prouder @tulisacontostavlos. From 2012 to now we've been through a lot and I'm so proud we stayed by each others side. Now it's time for everyone to know your truth. We've never publicised it, we've just been there for each other. I'm so happy your words will now be heard by everyone. Tulisa's book Judgement is out now x #Day1."

Tulisa replied to the post: "Love you will all my heart you beautiful earth angel." The exchange highlighted their enduring friendship that has lasted over a decade.

13-year friendship from X Factor

The pair became friends during the 2012 series of The X Factor, where Rylan competed as a contestant and Tulisa served as a judge. Rylan was mentored by Nicole Scherzinger in the boys category, while Tulisa was on the judging panel alongside Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow.

Tulisa had joined the show in 2011, mentoring girl band Little Mix to victory in her first year. The former N-Dubz singer scored a UK number one with her single "Young" and made a TV comeback last year on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Memoir reveals trauma and legal vindication

In her book "Judgement: Love, Trials and Tribulations," released this week, Tulisa opens up about attempting suicide and being wrongly accused of being a drug dealer. According to Metro, she attempted suicide twice during the drug trial and was once found unconscious in a bathroom during court proceedings.

The case against Tulisa was thrown out in 2014 after prosecution witness Mazher Mahmood, known as the "fake sheikh" journalist, was found to have tampered with evidence. Metro reports that Mahmood was later sentenced to 15 months in jail for his actions.

Personal struggles and legal battles

Tulisa also reveals in her memoir how a sex tape was leaked by her ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards. Metro notes that revenge porn was not illegal when this occurred, highlighting how the law has since evolved to protect victims.

The candid book details her journey through what she describes as love, trials, and tribulations, marking a significant moment of openness about her personal struggles.

Fan support for friendship

Rylan's post attracted hundreds of supportive comments from fans praising their enduring friendship. One follower wrote: "Well done you for standing by this lovely lady," while another commented: "What a gorgeous friendship, I'm glad she has good people around her."

The response highlighted how their genuine support for each other has resonated with fans who have followed both celebrities since their X Factor days.
