Amanda Holden has suffered a setback as Netflix cancelled her reality show "Cheat: Unfinished Business" after just one season. The decision comes despite the programme achieving remarkable global success, storming into Netflix's top 10 most-watched shows in 22 countries including the UK and US.

The show launched in April with the Britain's Got Talent judge co-hosting alongside relationship expert Paul Brunson, 50. Eight former couples who split due to infidelity travelled to a luxury retreat in Majorca to see if they could rebuild their relationships after betrayal.

A Netflix spokesperson confirmed: "Cheat: Unfinished Business won't be returning." An industry source explained the streaming giant has decided to "pursue new show formats" despite the programme's popularity with audiences.

However, Amanda's Netflix journey appears far from over. Sources reveal the platform is in talks with the 54-year-old presenter about three different new show concepts, suggesting viewers will see much more of her on the service.

Amanda's continued success

Amanda's career continues to thrive across multiple fronts despite the cancellation blow. According to Metro, her Heart FM breakfast show has soared to 4.2 million weekly listeners, overtaking BBC Radio 2 to become the UK's biggest commercial breakfast programme.

The presenter faces a packed schedule ahead with BGT auditions filming starting in October. She's also preparing for a fourth series of her renovation show with comedian Alan Carr, having spent the summer filming in Greece, plus launching her new BBC One quiz show "The Inner Circle" in October.

Paul's rising profile

Paul Brunson has seen his own popularity surge this year through his "We Need To Talk" podcast featuring celebrity guests including Tulisa, Maura Higgins and Katie Price. The Daily Mail reports the Washington-born relationship expert was originally discovered by Oprah Winfrey through his YouTube videos.

Before the show launched, Paul expressed his excitement about working with Amanda. "To work with Amanda Holden has been a dream of mine, so with her on board, there was no way I could say no," he said, eager to explore "all the grey areas of infidelity" together.

Amanda was equally enthusiastic about the project, calling it her "dream job" that she had "wanted my whole life". WalesOnline reveals she even took notes from Paul's relationship advice during filming and applied it to her own marriage, making the cancellation particularly disappointing.
