Harry and Meghan have secured a new multi-year partnership with Netflix through their production company Archewell Productions. The streaming giant has granted the couple first look options on their future film and television projects, continuing their collaboration that began after leaving royal duties.

The Sussexes will launch several major releases in the coming months. As the Daily Mail reports, their documentary series "Harry & Meghan" achieved 23.4 million views, making it Netflix's fifth most popular documentary series of all time.

Lifestyle content returns

Season two of Meghan's lifestyle show "With Love, Meghan" will debut later in August. Netflix describes the series as embracing "playfulness over perfection" with cooking challenges and DIY activities designed for home audiences.

The show promises hands-on adventures filled with discovery and simple ways to add beauty to everyday life. However, the first season received mixed critical reception, earning just 3.2 out of 10 on IMDb despite Netflix's promotional efforts.

Holiday programming planned

A special Christmas episode titled "With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration" will air in December, filmed at the couple's Montecito home. The programme will feature family and friends creating holiday celebrations, crafting gifts and sharing festive traditions.

This marks a significant shift from the Sussexes' previous Christmas arrangements, as they last spent the holiday with the royal family at Sandringham in 2018. Harry remains estranged from his brother the Prince of Wales and maintains a troubled relationship with King Charles.

Documentary and film projects

The couple will release "Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within," a documentary about a Ugandan orphanage supporting children affected by the HIV/AIDS crisis. Harry recently stepped down from Sentebale, his nearly 20-year-old charity supporting AIDS orphans in Lesotho, following internal disputes.

Archewell Productions is also developing "Meet Me At The Lake," a romantic drama adapted from Carley Fortune's bestselling novel. The story explores themes of mental health, postnatal depression and childhood trauma, with parallels to the Sussexes' own experiences.

Partnership evolution

The new deal represents a shift from guaranteed payments to "first look" arrangements that don't guarantee production funding, as the Daily Mail reports. Their original 2020 Netflix contract was reportedly worth more than $100 million, signed after their departure from royal duties.

Archewell Productions confirms additional projects spanning various content genres remain in active development. The partnership continues despite mixed reception for lifestyle content, with documentary projects showing stronger audience engagement.
